In our previous blog we wrote about the challenges you face as an MSP. The demand for good and secure workplace management has increased exponentially due to all kinds of market conditions. And that’s great, because it gives you tons of work. But it also increases stress because you don’t seem to be able to meet the demands of the market. In addition to the challenges we mentioned previously (which include customers becoming less satisfied, lack of scalability, and an increasing turnover of employees), something else plays a role.
While the challenges mentioned in our previous blog can keep you up at night, many entrepreneurs are jealous of the enormously demanding market in which MSPs operate. And as an MSP, you know you do indeed have enough work; but at the same time you have to deal with a completely different caliber of challenges.
This realization ensures that:
- You cannot grow at the rate you would like.
- The quality of your service is declining.
- Customers are becoming dissatisfied because basic tasks such as creating a new employee have a lead time of 3 days. Partly because of this, they start looking towards your competitors. Perhaps your competitor has solved the capacity problem internally? Or does he deliver a lightning-fast turnaround time? And do you, as a customer, get the fast service and sincere attention you deserve? If you don’t pick up on this signal properly, you will lose market share to your competitors in the foreseeable future.
- Your employees will have to deal with higher work pressure, and they will therefore start looking around. And finding good IT professionals in this market is a major challenge. Because employees are always on the go, their stress levels increase. And you want them to be more relaxed so they can enjoy their work. Employees will only be happy and proud (again) to work for a company when everything is running smoothly and efficiently. Employees also expect you to work with innovative tools. But you haven’t done that yet…
- You yourself are constantly putting out fires, leaving no time (or energy) to focus on internal improvements. And these are very much required.
And so you lie awake, you are not home much, and you only see your children at the weekend. Not really the ideal balance you had in mind when you started the job.
The solution
Fortunately there is an alternative to your current working method: an alternative based on automation and standardization. One thing is certain though: you have to work differently. How? You can read about that in our next blog. Why do we share this information so widely? Because we believe the realization that things can really be done differently can fully sink in in the course of several weeks. Don’t want to wait and read the whole story right away?
