How do you make an impact as a Business Developer?
As a Business Developer at Ydentic, you are responsible for creating ‘new business.’ You focus on acquiring new partners within (mid-sized) Managed Service Providers in the Netherlands. You do this using the consultative selling technique, where you emphasize that the Ydentic platform is more than just a product, but primarily adds value to the MSP’s business processes. You will be supported by the marketing team, who assist with lead generation and follow-up. Your responsibilities include, among others:
- Partner Acquisition: Identifying and approaching potential (mid-sized) Managed Service Providers in the Netherlands and beyond to build long-term collaborations.
- Relationship Management: Building strong and lasting relationships with existing partners, fostering their engagement and satisfaction.
- Point of Contact for MSPs: As the main contact for Managed Service Providers, you understand their unique needs and challenges, and ensure proper alignment with internal teams for optimal support.
- Presentations and Demos: Developing and delivering engaging presentations and product demos that clearly communicate the benefits of the Ydentic platform to potential partners.
- Contribution to Success: Your efforts help Ydentic and its partners grow by ensuring a smooth handover to the partner manager and clearly mapping and communicating the organization’s needs internally.
- Networking: Proactively participating in industry events and networking sessions to increase Ydentic’s visibility and explore new business opportunities.
- Collaboration: Effectively collaborating with internal teams to ensure the strategies and processes developed to support partners are executed smoothly, ensuring all parties are aligned.
What are we looking for in a Business Developer?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Developer. It is essential that you have an interest in Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and sufficient (technical) insight to communicate effectively. You are an independent, dynamic personality with excellent commercial and communication skills. Additionally, you have a flexible mindset, are customer-focused, and driven to deliver quality. We are looking for a Business Developer with:
- Relevant Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience in the MSP sector or with MSP software, having built a proven sales track record. Over the past few years, you have had extensive contact with Dutch Managed Service Providers, giving you a strong understanding of the market. Extensive experience with long sales cycles is essential.
- Educational Background: A completed relevant education at the WO/HBO+ level with a commercial background and the willingness to continuously learn and further develop your skills.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and partners.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to summarize and ask follow-up questions to better understand client needs.
- Technical Affinity: Strong affinity with Microsoft software or similar technologies, allowing you to quickly understand and apply new solutions. You are also familiar with complex business processes and creative in finding solutions.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external, acting as a bridge between Ydentic and partners.
- Flexibility: A proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment where change and adaptation are the norms.
- Entrepreneurship: You have an independent and entrepreneurial mindset focused on creating new business opportunities. You take a proactive, hands-on approach with a strong hunter mentality, targeting new partner acquisition.
Do you have to do all this yourself? No, definitely not! We are stronger as a team! You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams. In this role, it’s important that you are available and accessible to your colleagues, which means you will be present in our office in Zwolle a few days a week. It is also essential to be on-site with potential clients so you can strengthen relationships in person and identify new opportunities.
